Super quick Barmouth trip.
Sandy Lolly pop.. it has happened to us all !
that moment wandering across the beach dropping our
candy floss or ice cream and then its covered in Sand....
Bucket of stuff, when I was little I always collected a bucket of shells,
which always disappered one route, some ended up in my Nans garage a few made it home.
I enjoyed beach combing again :-)
A super speedy trip to Barmouth for a few final bits and pieces, I am lucky to be
able to pop in the car and go, we took my partners Son and girlfriend who havent been for
a few years.
It was Bank Holiday Saturday and the place was pretty much empty, its wasnt a bad day, a bit breezy but bright, so where was everyone? Barmouth is a beautiful beach, clean with golden
sand, it should of had people on it !

Men on the beach
I was so happy when my chap said we could go to Crosby on the way to Blackpool, ok its a 30 mile diversion but it was worth it. I have wanted to go for ages but its quite a trek, I was not disappointed, when we pulled on to the carpark, chap says " what are all those people doing on the beach? " I looked back and said "that is what we have come to see" He had only ever seen a picture of one of men at a time so presumed it was just a man standing looking out not 100 ! I walked at a faster pace than usual in antipication of meeting the first of them, Im not very tall and number 21 was my hieght I greated him with a smile and stroked his face,as if he was a long lost friend, the weather has taken its toll but the corosion felt smooth and the colours bright even on a dull day, the rust and the green pocked marked face, stared back and then through me to the horizon. I took my usual photos and got my chap to take mine looking out to sea with my new found friend. We walked along and greeted some of the others and spoke to a local chap who said that they looked fantastic at sunset and that was a popular time for photographers to venture out to them.
After a picnic in the car we headed off to Blackpool, I hope to see the beach men again, it was a very uplifting experience, and for someone who looks out to sea alot I no longer felt alone in that act.
